##### 8 Consultation by Commission The Commission shall, in the performance of its functions in relation to any matter, and so far as it considers appropriate having regard to the nature of the matter, consult with Departments and authorities of the Commonwealth and of the States, local government authorities and community and other organizations and, in particular, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, shall consult with the Director of National Parks about any matter concerning the declaration or management of a Commonwealth reserve under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
