##### 18 Termination of appointment of Commissioner
(1) The Governor-General may terminate the appointment of a Commissioner, other than a representative Commissioner, by reason of misbehaviour or physical or mental incapacity.
(2) If a Commissioner:
(a) not being a representative Commissioner, is absent, except with the permission of the Minister, from 3 consecutive meetings of the Commission;
(b) becomes bankrupt or applies to take the benefit of any law for the relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with his or her creditors or makes an assignment of his or her remuneration for their benefit; or
(c) fails to comply with his or her obligations under section 27F or 27J of the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997;
the Governor-General shall terminate the appointment of the Commissioner.
