##### 17 Deputies
(1) A representative Commissioner who is the Secretary of a Department may, in writing, authorize an officer of that Department to represent him or her at a meeting of the Commission.
(2) A representative Commissioner who is, or is deemed for the purposes of section 12 to be, the Chair of an authority of the Commonwealth may, in writing, authorize another member of the authority (if any) or an officer or employee of the authority to represent him or her at a meeting of the Commission.
(3) A person authorized under subsection (1) or (2) to represent a Commissioner at a meeting is entitled to attend the meeting in the place of the Commissioner and, when so attending, shall be deemed to be a Commissioner.
