12 Acting appointments
S. 12(1) amended by No. 39/2025 s. 17(1).
(1) The Minister may appoint a person to act in the place of a member who is absent or who, for any other reason, is unable to perform the duties of the office.

(2) An acting appointment is for the term, and on the conditions, including conditions as to payment of allowances and expenses, determined by the Minister.

(3) A person appointed under subsection (1) has all the powers and may perform all the duties of the member for whom the person is acting.

(4) The Minister may at any time terminate an acting appointment.
