#### 89 Minister may invite a person to apply to be a non‑government representative body (1) The Minister may, in writing, invite a person to apply to be approved as a non‑government representative body for a non‑government school if the Minister is satisfied that: (a) the person represents the interests of the approved authority for the school; and (b) the person is likely to meet the requirements in section 92 (basic requirements for approval). (2) The Minister may, in writing, withdraw an invitation at any time before the person makes an application under section 90 (in which case the person may not make an application). (3) To avoid doubt, the Minister may be satisfied that a person represents the interests of an approved authority irrespective of the views of the authority.
