33 Benefit for surviving spouse of covered ADF member who dies

(1) If a covered ADF member dies, a benefit for the member’s death is payable to the member’s surviving spouse (if any). (2) The benefit is a payment of the death benefit lump sum for the member’s death, unless the surviving spouse chooses under Subdivision B to receive the benefit as a pension instead.

Note: If there is more than one surviving spouse of the member, section 39 will affect how much each of them receives.
