51 Notice may direct person to provide assistance to access14 information etc.15 (1) Subsection (2) applies if:16 (a) a notice to produce requires a person to produce a thing in17 person (whether immediately upon service of the notice or18 otherwise); and19 (b) the examiner issuing the notice reasonably suspects20 assistance from the person will be required to enable an21 ACIC staff member to:22 (i) access or continue to access information or data held in23 or accessible from the thing while the thing is in the24 custody or possession of the ACIC; or25 (ii) examine the thing.26 (2) The notice may direct the person, when producing the thing, to27 provide an ACIC staff member any assistance that is reasonable28 and necessary to enable the ACIC staff member to:29 (a) access or continue to access information or data held in or30 accessible from the thing while the thing is in the custody or31 possession of the ACIC; or32 (b) examine the thing.33
