42 Form and content of authorisations8
An authorisation must:9
(a) be in writing; and10
(b) be signed by the Minister; and11
(c) state the day and time it is issued; and12
(d) state that it authorises the exercise of the ACIC’s coercive13
powers in this Part in accordance with its terms; and14
(e) specify when the authorisation ceases to be in force, which15
must be before the end of the period of 12 months beginning16
on the day after the day the authorisation comes into force.17
Note: Where the period for which the authorisation is in force is extended,18
or further extended, in accordance with section 44, the authorisation,19
as extended, must cease to be in force before the end of 36 months20
beginning on the day after the day the authorisation comes into force.21
