261 Secondment of ACIC employees18
Secondment19
(1) The Director-General may, in writing, arrange for an ACIC20
employee to be seconded for a specified period to a body or21
organisation whether within or outside Australia.22
Termination of secondment23
(2) The Director-General may at any time, by notice given to the body24
or organisation to which the ACIC employee is seconded under25
subsection (1), terminate the secondment.26

(1) The Director-General may, by written agreement with a body or3
organisation (whether inside or outside Australia), arrange for a4
person who is an officer, employee or other member of staff of the5
body or organisation to be made available to the ACIC to perform6
services in connection with the performance of the ACIC’s7
functions or the exercise of the ACIC’s powers.8
Terms and conditions9
(2) The terms and conditions (including remuneration and allowances)10
applicable to a person performing services under an agreement are11
those specified in the agreement.12
Other matters13
(3) When performing services for the ACIC under an agreement under14
this section, a person is subject to the directions of the15
Director-General.16
(4) To avoid doubt, a constable performing services under an17
agreement under this section continues to have, and may exercise,18
all their functions, powers and duties as such a constable.19
