23 The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission3
(1) The agency known immediately before the commencement of this4
subsection as the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission5
established by the Australian Crime Commission Act 2002 is6
continued in existence with that name.7

(2) The ACIC consists of:9
(a) the Director-General; and10
(b) the examiners; and11
(c) ACIC staff members.12
(3) For the purposes of the finance law (within the meaning of the13
Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013):14
(a) the ACIC is a listed entity; and15
(b) the Director-General is the accountable authority of the16
ACIC; and17
(c) the following persons are officials of the ACIC:18
(i) the Director-General;19
(ii) the examiners;20
(iii) ACIC employees (see section 259);21
(iv) consultants engaged under section 260;22
(v) persons performing services for the ACIC under an23
agreement under section 262; and24
(d) the purposes of the ACIC include:25
(i) the functions of the ACIC referred to in section 24; and26
(ii) the functions of the Director-General referred to in27
section 34.28
