159 Content and duration of premises search warrants10
Matters to be specified in premises search warrant11
(1) A premises search warrant must specify the following:12
(a) the address, location or other description of the premises in13
respect of which the warrant is issued;14
(b) the things referred to in paragraphs 158(1)(a) to (k) that are15
authorised by the warrant;16
(c) the effect of 165(4) (which deals with the use of force against17
persons and things);18
(d) when the warrant comes into force (see subsection 167(2));19
(e) when the warrant ceases to be in force, which must be before20
the end of the period of 90 days beginning on the day after21
the day the warrant comes into force;22
(f) any conditions or restrictions that apply to the warrant23
(including any conditions or restrictions that apply under24
section 165);25
(g) whether the warrant may be executed covertly;26
(h) whether the warrant authorises entry onto premises during27
specified hours, or at any time of the day or night;28
(i) the day and time when the warrant is issued.29
Extension of warrant and issue of further warrants not prevented30
(2) Paragraph (1)(e) does not prevent:31
(a) the warrant being varied under section 168 to extend, or32
further extend, the period for which the warrant is in force; or33
