Attorney-General may issue premises search warrants20
(1) The Attorney-General may issue a warrant in respect of particular21
premises if:22
(a) the Director-General has, under subsection 156(1), requested23
a warrant in relation to the premises; and24
(b) the Attorney-General is satisfied there are reasonable grounds25
for believing that access by the ACIC to documents or other26
things on the premises will substantially assist the ACIC to27
obtain intelligence in accordance with this Act in respect of a28
matter that is important in relation to combatting serious and29
organised crime (the serious and organised crime matter).30
