183 What is a small claim? In this Chapter ***small claim*** means a consumer and trader dispute in relation to— S. 183(a) amended by No. 15/2018 s. 3. (a) a claim for payment of money in an amount not exceeding $15 000 or other prescribed amount; or S. 183(b) amended by No. 15/2018 s. 3. (b) a claim for performance of work of a value not exceeding $15 000 or other prescribed amount— that in either case arises out of a contract for the supply of goods or the provision of services other than a contract of life insurance.
