20 Permanent closure of public road

(1) After considering any objections made in accordance with the notice given under section 19, the Minister may, by notifiable instrument, declare that the public road is permanently closed, completely or partly. (2) On the making of a declaration permanently closing a public road, the National Land included in the closed road, or closed part of the road, is no longer open to the public or any particular person for use as a road. (3) The Minister must publish a copy of the instrument under subsection (1) on the NCA’s website.
