Report by Electoral Commission 26. (1) The Electoral Commission shall, as soon as practicable after the polling day in the first general election, prepare and give to the Minister a report of the operation of Division 3 of Part XX of the Electoral Act in relation to that election. (2) The Minister shall cause a copy of the report given under subsection (1) to be laid before each House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after the day on which he or she receives the report. Staff 27. (1) Staff employed by the Electoral Commission under section 35 of the Electoral Act solely for the purpose of a general election, other than the first general election, shall be taken to be employed on behalf of the Territory. (2) The terms and conditions of employment of staff referred to in subsection (1) are such as are from time to time determined by the Electoral Commission. Regulations 28. The Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters: (a) required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed; or (b) necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.
