Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation cancels (repeals) the Australian Cadet Corps Regulations made in 1976.

What it does:

Removes the 1976 rules governing the Australian Cadet Corps from Australian law
Wipes the slate clean—likely because the Corps was being restructured, disbanded, or replaced by new regulations

Who it affects:

Members of the Australian Cadet Corps (a Defence-sponsored youth development program)
Defence Force personnel responsible for cadet administration

Why it matters: This is housekeeping legislation. Governments use "repeal" instruments to formally delete old rules that are outdated, redundant, or replaced. Once repealed, the 1976 regulations can no longer be enforced, ensuring the legal code stays current and uncluttered.
