At the same time, there are big structural changes unfolding in areas like energy and technology, and longstanding challenges when it comes to productivity, intergenerational equity and access to home ownership that demand our attention. This Budget is about getting us through the global oil shock and taking pressure off Australians, while continuing to build a stronger economy, better tax system, fairer housing market and a more sustainable budget.
