59 General power to obtain information

The Secretary may, in accordance with section 62, require a person to give information, or produce a document that is in the person’s custody or under the person’s control, to the Secretary if the Secretary considers that the information or document may be relevant to one or more of the following matters: (a) whether a person who has applied for Australian apprenticeship support loan is or was qualified for Australian apprenticeship support loan; (b) whether Australian apprenticeship support loan is payable to a person for whom a determination is in effect granting the person’s application for Australian apprenticeship support loan; (c) whether Australian apprenticeship support loan was payable to a person to whom Australian apprenticeship support loan has been paid; (d) the rate of Australian apprenticeship support loan that is being or has been paid to a person.
