Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

These regulations set the dollar threshold used in the Atomic Energy Act by tying the "prescribed amount" to the annual salary of a senior public servant (a Class 11 officer).

Linking the threshold to that salary means it adjusts automatically with public service pay changes, affecting licence holders, inspectors, prosecutors and others who rely on the Act’s financial threshold.
