24A Special investigation
[Section 24A Inserted by No. 9 of 1982, s. 7 and Sched. 10 ][Section 24A Substituted by No. 42 of 2001, Sched. 1, Applied:15 Jul 2001] An incorporated association is declared to be an applied Corporations legislation matter for the purposes of Part 3 of the Corporations (Ancillary Provisions) Act 2001 in relation to Part 3 of the ASIC Act subject to the following modifications:
(a) a reference in Part 3 of the ASIC Act to a body corporate is taken to be a reference to an incorporated association;
(b) [Section 24A Amended by No. 69 of 2003, Sched. 1, Applied:15 Dec 2003] a reference in Part 3 of the ASIC Act to ASIC is taken to be a reference to the Commissioner.
