19 Change of name does not affect existing rights and obligations The issue of a certificate of incorporation under section 17 to an incorporated association in a new name does not affect: (a) a right, liability or obligation of the association or of another person; or (b) any legal proceedings; existing or pending immediately before the certificate was issued.
