117 Fax or electronic transmission of documents (1) If, under a provision of this Act or the Regulations, a person is required to give a document to the Director, it is sufficient compliance with the requirement if the Director receives a copy of the document by facsimile or electronic transmission. (2) The person must ensure the original of the document signed by any person who is required to sign it is kept so that it is able to be produced readily to the Director for at least 7 years after the copy of it was given to the Director. (3) The Director may, by written notice, require the person to give the Director the original document in the reasonable time stated in the notice. Associations Act 2003 79 (4) The person must comply with the requirement unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
