55 Information recorded by registered ART providers that is to be given to donors (1) This section applies if a registered ART provider proposes to carry out a donor treatment procedure using a donor's gametes or an embryo formed from the donor's gametes. (2) The donor may ask a designated officer of the registered ART provider for any information required to be recorded in the registered ART provider's register about— (a) the woman on whom the procedure is proposed to be carried out; and (b) the woman's partner, if any. (3) On receiving a request for information under subsection (2), the designated officer must disclose to the donor, in accordance with subsection (4)— (a) the information in the registered ART provider's register about the woman and her partner, if any, other than identifying information about the woman or her partner; and (b) any identifying information in the registered ART provider's register about the woman or her partner, if any, if the woman and her partner have consented to the disclosure. (4) Information disclosed under subsection (3) must be given— (a) in writing; and (b) in accordance with any conditions or limitations imposed by the woman or her partner, if any. ***register***, in relation to a registered ART provider, means the register required to be kept by the provider under Division 1.
