Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This instrument from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) — the corporate regulator — revokes (cancels) an earlier Class Order numbered [CO 05/21].

What this does: ASIC is removing a previous regulatory exemption, relief, or rule that is no longer needed. This is a housekeeping measure to clean up the statute book.

Who it affects: Anyone who was relying on the old Class Order [CO 05/21] (such as financial services licensees or companies using that specific relief) will need to check whether they must now comply with the general Corporations Act rules instead.

Why it matters: It ensures outdated regulatory relief does not remain in force, providing clarity about which rules currently apply.
