#### 82 Liability of members of firms 82 Liability of members of firms > If a firm contravenes (whether by act or omission) a provision of this Act or the regulations, the firm is not guilty of an offence in respect of that contravention but a person who is a member of the firm (in the case of a partnership) or a member of the governing body of the firm (in any other case) is taken to have contravened the same provision if the person knowingly authorised or permitted the contravention and is liable on conviction to any penalty specified for a contravention of the provision.
