This Act authorises an extra $71.35 million to be drawn from the Consolidated Revenue Fund in 1981–82, supplementing the main Appropriation Act and funding across multiple government departments (notably transport, veterans’ affairs, housing/construction and industry). It provides the legal authority — backdated to 1 July 1981 — for specific additional spending (including Qantas share capital and various capital works), preserving parliamentary control over public outlays.
