This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.

What this does: This instrument sets up early voting locations (called "pre-poll voting offices") for voters in the Division of Werriwa, which is an electoral district in south-western Sydney.

Who it affects: Anyone enrolled to vote in Werriwa who wants to cast their ballot before election day.

What it specifically does:

Appoints locations: Authorises specific places where people can vote early (the actual addresses and opening hours are listed in Schedule A, which accompanies this document)
Repeals old arrangements: Cancels any previous early voting office appointments for this area
Sets a start date: The new arrangements take effect from 25 February 2005

Why it matters: Without this instrument, voters in Werriwa wouldn't know where they can vote early or when those locations are open. It ensures the Australian Electoral Commission can legally operate early voting centres for this specific electorate.

This instrument is made pursuant to subsection 200D(2) of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918.
This instrument repeals and replaces all previous instruments issued under section 200D(2) for the Division of Werriwa.
This instrument will commence on 25 February 2005.
The Electoral Commissioner appoints the pre-poll voting offices and days and times of operation for the Division of Werriwa listed in Schedule A.
