Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Statute established ANU’s current College structure (replacing the old Faculty system and repealing the 2002 Faculty statutes), names the seven Colleges, treats College Deans as the relevant heads, and empowers the University Council to make detailed governance rules. It affects staff, students, researchers, College Deans and the Council, and matters because it remains the legal foundation for ANU’s academic governance since the 2006 restructuring.
