79Conciliation

79 Conciliation (1) The Commissioner may direct a person to take part in a conciliation. (2) A direction under subsection (1) must be in writing and specify the time when and place where the conciliation will be held. (3) A conciliation under this Division must be held in private. (4) A person commits an offence if: (a) the person is given a direction by the Commissioner under (b) the person does not comply with the direction. Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units. Anti-Discrimination Act 1992 49 (5) Strict liability applies to subsection (4)(b). (6) It is a defence to a prosecution for an offence against subsection (4) if the defendant has a reasonable excuse.
