4‑33 Continuation of registration pending decision on renewal application

(1) This section applies if: (a) the registration of a person under Part 6 or 6A of the Act would otherwise cease at the end of the period of 3 years commencing on the day on which the registration took effect; and (b) before the end of that period, an application for renewal of the registration is made in accordance with sections 4‑28 and 4‑29 of this instrument. (2) The person’s registration continues in effect after the end of the 3‑year period until the AUSTRAC CEO’s decision on the renewal application takes effect.
