Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

These Regulations do two things: they list specific organisations whose training or accreditation qualifies an animal as an “assistance animal,” and they fix a statutory monetary figure at $60,000 for a provision of the Anti-Discrimination Act. This matters for people who use assistance animals (who rely on recognised training), for the listed organisations (which gain formal recognition), and for parties affected by the $60,000 threshold in related Act proceedings.
