6 Delegation by authority (1) The authority may delegate to a public servant or another person a function given to the authority under this Act. Note For the making of delegations and the exercise of a delegated function, see the Legislation Act, pt 19.4. (2) However, the authority must not delegate a function to a person who is not a public servant without first being satisfied that the function needs to be exercised by a person who is not a public servant.
