sec.157 Licence taken to be in force while renewal application is considered

If an application is made under section 155 , the holder’s licence is taken to continue in force from the day that it would, apart from this section, have expired until the application is decided under section 155 or taken to have been withdrawn under section 156 (2) . However, if the application is refused, the licence continues in force until the information notice for the decision is given to the holder. Subsection (1) does not apply if the licence is earlier suspended or cancelled.
