sch.2-sec.27 Floor area requirements for indoor pens used to keep breeding sows

This section applies if— 2 or more pigs are kept in an indoor pen; and all of the pigs are breeding sows. A person in charge of the breeding sows must ensure the floor area of the indoor pen is not less than 1.4m 2 for each sow. (sch.2-sec.27-ssec.1) This section applies if— 2 or more pigs are kept in an indoor pen; and all of the pigs are breeding sows. (sch.2-sec.27-ssec.2) A person in charge of the breeding sows must ensure the floor area of the indoor pen is not less than 1.4m 2 for each sow.

• (a) 2 or more pigs are kept in an indoor pen; and
• (b) all of the pigs are breeding sows.
