19Application of this Act

19 Application of this Act (1) Subject to this section— (a) this Act (other than sections 3A and 16); and (b) the provisions of the Act referred to in section 16; and (c) the provisions of the Anglican Church of Australia Constitution Act 1961 referred to in section 3A; apply, by force of this section, in the Jervis Bay Territory. (2) In the application of this Act in the Jervis Bay Territory— (a) any reference to the Territory is a reference to the Jervis Bay Territory; and (b) any reference to the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn is a reference to the Diocese of Sydney; and

Fundamental Declarations Chapter I Section 19 R3 Anglican Church of Australia Trust Property Act 1928 page 13 (c) any reference to the Church of England Property Trust Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn is a reference to the Church of England Property Trust Diocese of Sydney. (3) The provisions referred to in subsection (1) (b) apply in the Jervis Bay Territory as if that Territory were part of the State of New South Wales. (4) The provisions referred to in subsection (1) (c) apply in the Jervis Bay Territory as if— (a) any reference to the State of New South Wales were a reference to the Jervis Bay Territory; and (b) the reference to the Bishops, clergy and laity being members of the Anglican Church of Australia in the several Dioceses of the Anglican Church of Australia within the State of New South Wales were a reference to the Bishops, clergy and laity, being members of the Anglican Church of Australia in the Diocese of Sydney within the Jervis Bay Territory.
