18 References to Church of England and Church of England in Australia After the commencement of this section, any reference in— (a) an Act; or (b) a grant, deed, will or other instrument; to the Church of England or the Church of England in Australia is, unless the contrary intention appears, a reference to the Anglican Church of Australia. Note A reference to an Act includes a reference to the statutory instruments made or in force under the Act, including regulations (see Legislation Act 2001, s 104).
