Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument updates export rules for seafood from the NSW Ocean Trawl Fishery by replacing the previous conditions (from Feb 2009) with two new ones: catches must be lawful under NSW law, and the exemption lapses on 14 September 2012. It affects commercial fishers and exporters trading non‑threatened species and matters because it simplifies exports while tying them to legal sourcing and a fixed expiry date.
