16 Volunteer ambulance officers
(1) [Section 16 Subsection (1) amended by No. 73 of 2013, s. 15, Applied:01 Jul 2014] [Section 16 Subsection (1) amended by No. 73 of 2013, s. 15, Applied:01 Jul 2014] The Commissioner may appoint such persons as he thinks necessary to be volunteer ambulance officers.
(2) [Section 16 Subsection (2) amended by No. 73 of 2013, s. 15, Applied:01 Jul 2014] A volunteer ambulance officer–
(a) [Section 16 Subsection (2) amended by No. 73 of 2013, s. 15, Applied:01 Jul 2014] shall perform, without remuneration, such functions relating to the provision of ambulance services as the Commissioner may from time to time direct; and
(b) [Section 16 Subsection (2) amended by No. 73 of 2013, s. 15, Applied:01 Jul 2014] shall be subject to the control and supervision of the Commissioner.
