Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation is essentially a simple list that determines which airports are covered by Part 3 of the Airports (Transitional) Act 1996.

What it does: It names five specific airports that must follow the rules set out in Part 3 of the parent Act:

Bankstown Airport (NSW)
Camden Airport (NSW)
Essendon Airport (Vic)
Hoxton Park Airport (NSW)
Jandakot Airport (WA)

Who it affects: Anyone dealing with these five airports — including airport operators, tenants, and regulators — who need to know which transitional rules apply to their location.

Why it matters: This is a "trigger" law. By listing these airports, it activates specific legal provisions (contained in the parent Act) that govern how these facilities are managed or regulated during a transitional period. Without this list, those rules wouldn't apply to these locations.
