46  Duration of authorisations granted under section 43

 (1) An authorisation granted under section 43:

 (a) must specify the day on which it comes into force (which must not be a day before the authorisation is granted); and

 (b) remains in force for the period (not exceeding 3 years) specified in the authorisation or, if that period is extended in accordance with section 49, for the period as extended.

 (2) The period for which an authorisation remains in force cannot be extended beyond 3 years by a variation under section 49.

Note: An airport environment officer may require the holder of an authorisation to comply with a condition of the authorisation, see section 79.
