#### 142 Smoking prohibited (1) A person must not smoke in a no‑smoking area if the area is an area for which there is a sign of the kind required by subregulation 141(1). Penalty: 5 penalty units. (1A) An offence against subregulation (1) is an offence of strict liability. > Note: For strict liability, see section 6.1 of the Criminal Code. (2) A contravention of subregulation (1) is an infringement notice offence. > Note: For infringement notice offences, see Part 7.
