Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument temporarily changes a defined box of airspace northwest of Melbourne (about 4,500–5,500 ft) from controlled (Class C) to uncontrolled (Class G) between 1 July 2007 and midnight 25 September 2007. The change lets gliders operate under see‑and‑avoid rules without ATC clearance; other pilots must note that controller separation is suspended in that block and remain responsible for avoiding traffic.
