8Removal of safety hazards

#### 8 Removal of safety hazards (1) AA, or a person authorised by AA, may take either or both of the following actions: (a) remove an aircraft, vehicle, animal or other thing from any part of an aerodrome; (b) move an aircraft, vehicle, animal or other thing from one part of an aerodrome to another. (2) Before taking action under subsection (1), AA must be satisfied that the action is necessary: (a) in the interests of safety; or (b) for the performance of the functions of AA relating to air traffic services. (3) A person may assist AA, or a person authorised by AA, take action under subsection (1) if AA is satisfied that the assistance is necessary and reasonable in the circumstances. (4) In this section, a reference to an aerodrome includes a reference to an aerodrome in respect of which an arrangement under section 20 of the Civil Aviation Act 1988 (Defence aerodromes) is in force.
