Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation cancels (repeals) the Air Force (Civil Staff) Regulations from 1942, which previously set out the rules for civilian employees working for the Royal Australian Air Force.

What it does:

Removes the entire 1942 regulatory framework governing how civilian Air Force staff were employed, paid, and managed
Treats the regulation as having taken effect on 1 September 1948 (retrospective commencement)

Who it affects:

Civilian employees of the Air Force previously covered by the 1942 Regulations
Air Force administrators responsible for civilian personnel matters

Why it matters: This is a legislative cleanup. The repeal likely occurred because civilian employment conditions were moved to other laws (such as public service legislation) or modernised under new regulations, making the 1942 wartime-era rules redundant.
