130AAPVMA may retain documents and things

#### 130A APVMA may retain documents and things (1) If a document or thing is produced to the APVMA in accordance with a notice served under section 130, the APVMA: (a) may take possession of, and may make copies of, the document or thing, or take extracts from the document; and (b) may retain possession of the document or thing for such period as is necessary: (i) for the purposes of this Code; or (ii) for the purposes of an investigation to which the document or thing relates; or (iii) to enable evidence to be secured for the purposes of a prosecution or proceedings for a civil penalty order. (2) While the APVMA retains the document or thing, it must allow a person who would otherwise be entitled to inspect the document or view the thing to do so at the times that the person would ordinarily be able to do so.
