(1) On the conversion day, AGL is constituted as a body corporate by this Act with the corporate name of “The Australian Gas Light Company”.
(2) The body corporate constituted by this Act is a company limited by shares.
Note—
This Part makes provision in relation to the corporate structure of corporatised AGL and its assets, rights and liabilities. It also applies certain provisions of the Corporations legislation to corporatised AGL as if it were a public company limited by shares.
