30 Board to hold inquiry before refusal (1) Where: (a) subject to subsection (2), a notice of objection is lodged in accordance with section 28; or (b) the Board considers that there may be grounds for refusing an application for the grant of a licence, the Board shall hold an inquiry before considering in accordance with section 29 whether to grant the application for a licence. (2) The Board may, without holding an inquiry, reject an objection made under section 28(3) if, in the opinion of the Board, the objection is of a frivolous, irrelevant or malicious nature.
