33 Decisions on licence applications
(1) This section applies if the commissioner for fair trading receives an
application for a licence under section 29 (Licence applications).
(2) Within 12 weeks after the day the commissioner for fair trading
(a) issue the licence; or
(b) refuse to issue the licence.
(3) The commissioner for fair trading must issue the licence if satisfied
that the applicant is eligible to be licensed under section 24
(Eligibility for licences).
(4) If the licence is a property agent licence, the licence must state the
class of licence.
(5) If a requirement for information or a document relating to an
application is made under section 31 (Further information for licence
applications), the 12-week period mentioned in subsection (2) is
extended by the period beginning on the day when the requirement is
made and ending on the day when the requirement is complied with.
