29 Licence applications
(1) An application for a licence may be made to the commissioner for fair
trading only—
(a) by a person who has published a notice under section 28 in
relation to the application; and
(b) within 10 business days after the day the notice is published.
(2) An application must be in writing and state—
(a) the kind of licence applied for; and
(b) for a property agent licence—the class of licence applied for.
(3) An application must be accompanied by––
(a) a statement setting out the place that, if the licence is issued, will
be the applicant’s main place of business; and
(b) a police certificate dated not earlier than 2 months before the day
the application is made for each of the following people:
(i) the applicant;
(ii) any partners of the applicant;
(iii) if the applicant is a corporation––each director of the
corporation.
