142 Functions of administrators
(1) Anything done by an administrator appointed in relation to an agent
is taken to have been done by the agent.
(2) An administrator appointed in relation to an agent may carry on the
agent’s business and must carry out the agent’s obligations under this
Act.
(3) An administrator is not civilly liable for anything done or omitted to
be done honestly and without negligence in the exercise or purported
exercise of a function as administrator.
(4) The commissioner for fair trading and the Territory are not civilly
liable for anything done or omitted to be done by an administrator in
the exercise or purported exercise of a function as an administrator.
(5) Subsection (4) applies whether or not the administrator is liable for
the thing.
